Nothing to Lose?

The deep dark shadows of our minds

Set out, into the night

Fearless, as a beast,

Invisible, to our sight.

As the moon peeks from behind the dense clouds,

It faces their cold stare

They all rise in unison

To fight the battles those were unfair.

The Earth’s bed rumbles now,

It’s getting hollow from inside.

Its spirit eaten away,

By the dark human side.

And now even She doesn’t care,

If a beast lives inside.

She will surely show,

Her power, as we divide...

An eye for an eye,

And the heart missed a beat.

So much of hatred inside,

Slumbering in the heat.

Is our conscience asleep?

Or do we pretend to ignore.

That our bodies are no more,

And our spirit is all sore.

So much do we hate this place?

That life is no more precious.

Just an object we possess,

Just as worthless as we are here.

Have we succeeded to deceive?

Our mind, faithlessness and negativity ooze

All the innocence lost, we now believe,

There is nothing more to lose.

Are we not forgetting what we are fighting for?

We were the bright stars, in the setting dawn.

From what we aspired to become,

We have come too far.

Destroyed the keep,

And lost the golden hour.

The trickle of tears, hopes are torn,

Shooting stars fulfil no wishes no more...
