LIKE OCEANS HIDE WITHIN THEM,
THESE CREATURES CAN SURFACE.
LIKE THE MOON SOOTHENS US DOWN,
AND HEAT LEAVES WITHOUT A TRACE.
BIDING TIME THEY WAIT,
BEFORE THEIR TIME OF RACE.
THESE MYSTERIES SMILE SLYLY,
HIDDEN BEHIND A FACE.
EACH COIN HAS BUT TWO FACES,
THOUGH ONE AT ONCE WE SEE.
THEY ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER,
YET… SO SEPARATELY.
IN LIGHT AS ONE HALF GLOWS,
IN DARKNESS THE OTHER BE.
AND SELDOM DO WE DISCOVER
A FACE OF REALITY!
IT BRINGS JOY TO MANY,
BUT CAN BRING SORROW TODAY.
THE FACE THAT CARRIES A SMILE
ALWAYS BRINGS SMILES ALONG THE WAY.
A LAUGHTER SO CONTAGIOUS,
THAT SPREADS FROM FACE TO FACE.
THE DEEPEST SORROWS ARE LOCKED BENEATH
AND HERE THEY SHALL STAY.
BUT NO! WE CAN’T DIVIDE,
ONE FACE FROM THE OTHER FACE,
THE WEAK LETS DARKNESS DOMINATE,
AND SO THEY LOSE THEIR GRACE.
BUT NEVER EVER SURRENDER,
LETS BATTLE FROM THE BASE,
ITS ONLY YOU WHO CAN DECIDE,
WHAT FACE YOU WANT TO FACE?

absolutely marvelous..omg..i was thinking about something similar just a while ago and here i see as if my thoughts are being read out to me in a simply beautiful poetic way..hats off to you really..
ReplyDeletehow correct you are in saying that the 'good and evil' are such tightly bound that one can't separate one from the other..in fact they depend on each other for existence..it reminds me famous joker's line from 'the dark knight' to batman--"i don't wanna kill you..what will i do without you"...you tapped the thought so well..awesome yar!!

ReplyDeleteAbt the poem: When i get into the angry aggressive mood then this kind of poem bursts forth... indeed in our lives we have met lot of different ppl, and we know that there is no such thing as a perfect person. But there are good ppl who conquer the bad side and thats why they are good. in the end ony we can decide who we want to be....just as my last lines say:)

u r right it is up 2 us 2 decide which face v want 2 face but as they say life is full of surprises & looks r often deceptive so v never know which face v wil face btw this one took its flight (above my head) only halfway thru ha

he he.... thank u saroj:-) yep, i have thought abt this a lot, that, however much we may control the bad side inside us, it may show sometime or the other When we are vulnerable. and that is mostly when we are SAD or Angry or FRUSTRATED. So in that situation, there is one thing that i have thought of that i do and ppl can do..the rule to follow in such situations is a tough one."Don't talk/retaliate to any person when you are angry". coz i have observed that, when angry(and we do tend to take out our rage sometimes at the wrong person), ppl say things which they either dont mean or rather harshly.:) think over it. I believe there is always a reason. I try to find it. and if i cant find it, i Try Harder...:-)
ReplyDeleteso the point here is yes i agree with u saroj, i got what u wanted to say:), ppl cant hide their true face. But good ppl manage to keep certain bad things in control:-). The truth is the true face is not to be masqueraded(which will fail), its nature must be visibly modified and matured over the time :-) {Now my head is spinning after readin what i have written.he he}
in the end, thanks for those kind words of appreciation. i am glad you all like what i write and i hope it helps us all in clearing the doubts. I can still not say that i have mastered my nature of writing, but i have gotten a hand of it.:-) And also to u all, who play a key role and make me a better poet.
