(This is the song for the New Year 2011...)
Here we are, Here is now,
Fires burning, all the lives lost,
Broken homes, broken promises…
We have survived, many wars,
We have bled in to the dawn,
Have we survived or more destruction’s on the way…
Does this not awaken our pride?
Have we lost our mind and heart,
To this unrest, how can we answer to ourselves…?
So count me out,
I am a stranger to your thoughts,
A stranger to your ways,
To bring this change.
Even if I have to replace,
Though my soul burns in hell,
I will change this world,
I wont be,
A stranger to myself…
We were born, we were strong,
We were brilliant, we were wrong,
When we started uphill a million years ago…
We know to start, but where to stop,
The wisdom behind the light and dark,
So many things, we still don’t know..
We were gifted, by the Lord,
With a power to change, but we tread on,
His very dream, we don’t deserve forgiveness…
So count me out,
I am a stranger to your thoughts,
A stranger to your ways,
To bring this change.

sou desu ne (thats right)if people belonging to the same HUMAN race 4get their humanity and behave like strangers 2wards each other then i must say a bird is better with its freedom than we are coz there is no point in enjoying a single day as new yr wen we eventually crawl back to the same situations of the old (previous)years...

now my rant-
such bigotry in the world. such hatred, such injustice, such race to power. each one behaves like an isolated island, nothing to do with another human being.(i wonder if they even look at others as humans. ) all this fills me with such nausea. how should one live a life?? - be good to ur fellow human beings, treat animals with respect and lead a peaceful life...but how many actually do this?
humans don't form any respectable part of the huge cosmos around us..but still, our existence has its dignity.life is sacred.but by raising social anarchy like wars et al, some people want to rob the rest of us of that dignity too.
you're right..we'll always be strangers to their thoughts n ways. but we won't be allowing bigotry in our lives, thus we won't be strangers to ourselves like those fractured souls are. i don't know how much can one person change the world but we all,through our small-big actions,must function in a complete harmony with our conscience n values..hopefully, it will add up to a big change over the years..

ReplyDeletei agree... Since this is the new yr poem i decided to write on this issue... All human beings are not corrupt.. and so we, who are still pure, will go on the spread the msg forward... hoping for a better future...
