I was sleeping.

Dreaming, unavailable,

A world of my own,

A world without worries…

So many people there,

I was there, invisible,

 I was at peace,

Yes, I was happy…

Soaring over the crowd,

No one knew by whereabouts…

And then you poked me,

Poked me till it all disappeared,

Struggling,

I awoke with a startle.

And u laughed at me,

Like it was a funny thing that happened,

I was just getting away,

When you poked me….

Everything changes,

When you get poked.

Its wasn’t just once or twice,

Many many times, you get choked…

A dozen tiny fingers,

Making constant dents on your mind..

So many holes there

I wish I was a porcupine…

And then u poked me,

And said,’its nothing personal’

Struggling,

I awoke with a startle.

And u laughed at me,

Like it was a funny thing that happened,

I was just getting away,

When you poked me….

We are Together...

{This song is dedicated to my closest friends (Charan, Mallu, Sanket, Amru, Sandhya, Anu, Sush and  Geeta). Wrote this remembering the bond that we had when we were all still together in certain bad circumstances and misunderstandings. I sang this one for them when we got together for a CadB after the great news of Mallu's wedding. ....enjoy...}

Its been a long night,

Been waiting for this day.
